Sustaining Diet and Exercise in Older Adults with Arthritis - Extra weight increases the load on joints which are already affected by arthritis (especially Osteoarthritis). Exercise has been shown to delay disability and reduce pain symptoms (if sustained), however many older adults with arthritis do not exercise. Additionally, many arthritis sufferers do not eat a healthy weight conscious diet.

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) in Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis - Some patients take vitamins and supplements in adjunct with or in place of their pain medicine, however many CAM therapies may interact with prescription medications causing adverse events in the patient.

Reduction of Rheumatoid Arthritis Fatigue in Patients on Biologic Therapy with Vitamin B12 - Patients on Biologic therapies still report fatigue symptoms at or above levels of fatigue before beginning the therapy.

Program development project with Mississippi Department of Public Health -   There is a significant need in Mississippi for a program for people with arthritis in the communities. This project reflects on my previous experience with the National Arthritis Action Plan funded by the CDC in Alabama.
